Lorie forgot about my wireless laptop and our neighbor's unsecured wireless router, heh heh.
Well, actually, he gave me the password. I'm sitting in our almost totally empty apartment on a beatup old chair that was here when we moved in using a cardboard box as a desk to hold my 7 year old laptop.
High class, bling bling LA livin' yup.
So we just met our second to last frantic deadline: renting a minivan today and packing all our "car stuff" into the cars in time for the trucker to arrive at 5pm and take them away. Once again we needed help at the last minute running stuff down to the cars. Our wonderful neighbor Ivy helped out. God bless people who work at home!
Our next and final frantic deadline will be this Sunday starting at 6am putting cats and baby and two suitcases and pack&play bundle, and diaperbag & laptop softcase into the minivan, returning it to Alamo, catching their shuttle to LAX, passing security, waiting, and getting all that crap onto the plane.
Did I say in a previous post that we'd have 6 days of "fun" in sunny California? HA! It's been about a 3:1 ratio. Three days of stress to meet a deadline, one day of doing maybe one or two fun things.

wait a minute...you aren't driving to Minn? For some reason, I thought you were driving. It would be a gorgeous drive, but yeah, I guess it's pretty darn far..

No, we've learned from recent road trips with Audrey that she can't stand more than about 300 miles in a day before she has a meltdown. Driving to St.Paul in 300 mile chunks would take about a week! That gas and motel expense plus dealing with freaked out cats for a week made taking a non-stop flight for a few hours seem like heaven.
That is incredibly smart.
We're all looking forward to you guys arriving safe and sound.

So you'd rather she had her meltdown in a crowded airplane? Sounds like a plan! A plan to get free miles from the airline after they kick you off the flight Ha ha! Miles you can then use to visit us in Maryland! Very crafty, I like it! See ya soon, you schemer, you!
