Miscellaneous Audrey Moments:
This morning -
I'm sitting on the floor in my bedroom, back up against the bed. Audrey is standing about ten feet away, facing me. She says. "Ready, go!" and runs full blast into my arms. Giggle, giggle. She runs back to the starting position. Ready, go! Run, run! Big body-to-body smoosh. Giggle, giggle. Repeat. And, repeat. And, repeat about ten times more.
Another morning, last week -
Sitting on bedroom floor again. Audrey's emptying miscellaneous socks and other under garments from my drawers. She decides to put socks on my feet for me. I end up with one brown sock on my right foot, and a purple one halfway up my left foot. The crowning glory is the pair of shiny black slimming undies she puts on my head as my "hat." Then, she decides to pull it down over my head to be a "scarf" instead.

It's been awhile -- a year?
I know I've been remiss in posting. Between holiday travel and working on a business plan for my Lorie-rules-indie-film schemes, I've been keeping my head down to stay focused.
Travel to Grandma Susie's alone with Audrey went fine. Audrey was great - there and back.
My mom has choice words (justifiably) for Northwest Airlines, though, since they wouldn't give us a pass through security on Christmas day for her to help me with carrying Audrey, a stroller, a car seat, a big diaper bag, and a little rolling suitcase to our departure gate. And, to add insult to injury, the security screener-checker guy singled me out for the whole search-and-kaboodle. Open all bags, wand us, pat us down, the whole nine yards. The security folks were nice and pleasant, and I stayed calm and upbeat, b/c a) what can you do? and b) Audrey was looking at me and them like, 'what are you doing to my mom? And, why are you now touching me??'
Just wanted to check in and say Happy New Year.
Must go to bed now... But, I'll post some pix and videos this week. Really.
