Houston, we have a domicile

It's a one-bedroom, with TWO gated parking spaces. Laundry in the building. Maple floors, balcony, pool. Third floor in 4-story, 100-some-odd unit building. Galley kitchen, dining area. Don't know the square footage, but it ain't big -- still, we're used to small spaces with our house in Austin. The apartment has as much, if not more closet space than we're used to. And, it's in a gorgeous, centrally-located neighborhood that seems to be heavily Jewish -- lots of Hebrew lettered-buildings (schools, study centers, not sure if I've seen a synagogue, yet) on nearby busier streets and men with long beards and yarmulkes. The houses and landscaping in the neighborhood are really pretty; I want to go walking and exploring and smell all the flowers. :)

The lease will start April 15th, and the landlord agreed to lower the rent by $125/month and stagger our security deposit payment to help us manage our cashflow while moving, selling the house, etc.

Yay!
