My new landlord and I were ambling down Melrose Avenue, wasting a half hour while waiting on my credit report info to be relayed to the apartment search service people. Anyway, I saw an antiques/furniture store to go into and lo, and behold, the one other shopper in there was Andy Serkis - the actor who portrayed Gollum in LOTR and the ape in King Kong (plus one of the ship's crew members).
