Hello Fame! and Day In Santa Monica

Lorie and I decide that the acronym for this blog "lofam" will not be pronounced "low fame". It will be pronounced with an English accent so it sounds like " 'ello fame!" in keeping with Lorie's intention of finding fame in the movie biz.

After we got that important bit of business squared away, we spent the rest of the day tourist style in Santa Monica along the 3rd Street pedestrian mall. We ate a light and delicious Thai steak salad and possibly the best coffee I've ever had at Jack n' Jill's Cafe:

We experience our first Apple Computer store. It's slick just like their gadgets. Inside there are online computers for public use, stations for downloading music to your ipod, a digital music area for musicians, a childrens computer gaming area, a "genius bar" where you get to talk to an Apple guru about your silly little technical problems (which are of course your fault), and in back you can see a big screen where experts give technical Q&A Powerpoint presentations all day long. This place was crazy busy and packed with people:
