Here begins our great LA adventure!
Texas is a big state and we get a late start. We arrive late in Van Horn, TX and crash in a Budget Inn. Van Horn is a sliver of a nothing of a town pinched between I-10 and a busy RR track in the middle of a desert wasteland. We are halfway to Phoenix where we will spend a few days visiting Lorie's mom Sue and her husband Tim.
